Success Stories
Several months ago I received a call from a guy that said he was a quadriplegic, which occurred from a motorcycle wreck. After months of traditional rehab, he found SuperSlow® strength training and in his words, “I gained more strength and range of motion from SuperSlow® in 6 weeks than all of rehab…I am now ready for my new limbs!”
We have a client that was told by her Orthopedist that she would need a total knee replacement. She found us, started SuperSlow® Rehab and then continued with SuperSlow® strength training. She does not have any knee pain and does not need a total knee replacement.

I work out at the SuperSlow Zone in Winter Springs, FL owned by Marvin, Nancy and Alex Couch. They are the nicest folks I have ever met, and I know that they care for each one of their customers.
I am a 55 year old entrepreneur with very little time to work out. When I heard about SuperSlow, I finally felt I had found a way to keep fit with my busy schedule.
I am now as buff as I was when I was 18, and my stamina has increased dramatically.
Thank you!

I’ve exercised since I was a teenager, but I’ve never really liked it and the only motivator has been the social aspects of going to a gym. As life has gotten busier and exercise has become more of a solitary acitvity, I’ve lost my motivation.
No workout routine has managed to hold my attention. SuperSlow is different. The workouts are so short that I can hardly say I’m too busy. The fact that I can workout in my street clothes makes it even harder to resist and the results are so overwhelming that when I do miss a workout my body is screaming at me to get to the gym!

Hi y’all,
Just a note that you can share with all and sundry, to tell you that we really felt good about SuperSlow in general and you two, Chris Greenwell and Missi Mitchell, specifically.
Miriam is obviously more fit than she has been in years, and this is demonstrated most clearly by her golf game, where her tee shots are verifiable 25 yards longer that before she started on the program. A major accompishment, directly attributable to, Missi, is the fact that she is enthusiastically looking forward to coming back to you when we come back to Florida in the Fall. It’s obvious that she has benefitted in the way she feels, as she never has looked favorably on any programs related to her physical health.
For my part, the obvious manifestation of the benefits imparted by your program were in my swimming where my forty laps take at least five minutes less and with far less obvious effort than before. I feel fitter and more able, and my golf game too has gotten better with longer hits. My walking ability has improved significantly, as has my overalll strength.
Finally, you too were a pleasure to work with, and we had great fun visiting you over the past four months. YOu are a great team and a convincing argument for joining your program.
We will be back!

Thank you Kevin Clemente, I’m going to kiss you on Wednesday.
Yesterday I played golf for the first time in 16 months. I shot 79, beat my Dad and brother(who play golf every week in season) and my step-sister. Had 3 birdies on the back nine, a feat I haven’t done for over 20 years and the best round of golf for me in 15 years. I attribute this to my once a week visits to SSZ in Flemington, NJ. Kevin Clemente and I have been friends for a few years and are close in age, I’m 53. Since Kevin started SSZ he got stronger and I was getting weaker until I followed his lead and began strength training 5 months ago. I am much stronger now, more confident about my future and feeling much better about my physical condition.
If you can’t give 20 minutes once or twice a week to work out the SSZ way you can’t be very serious about your physical condition or you don’t know or believe that you can change your life for the better.
Thanks Kevin and your staff for SSZ in Flemington–you are making a great contribution to my life.

My introduction to SuperSlow took place in a rather nondescript office park in Southern California. Every day, I would walk by a nondescript “by appointment only” sign to get to the nondescript office park delicatessen. Then, I would walk by the sign again with my lunch order back to my office. Some days, I walked by the sign several times… for breakfast, for lunch, and then again for dinner. My expanding waist line and I were working a lot of hours in those days. As the Senior Director of Information Technology at a fast-growing company, I honestly believed I didn’t have enough time to exercise.
One day, out of curiosity, I ignored the sign and poked my head in the door. I didn’t know it then, but what I discovered in that nondescript office park was about to change the course of my life forever. What I discovered was that I absolutely did have time to exercise, and that I had not even known what exercise really is.
After just a few workouts, this computer nerd was actually gaining muscle! Having new muscle was inspiring me to eat better. As I began to pay attention to what went into my mouth, I started losing fat. I felt better physically, and my clothes fit better. As time went on, it seemed to me that I didn’t catch every flu bug that came by. I even finally stopped smoking.
I’m so happy with the results I’ve achieved and the benefits that I continue to enjoy that my partner Sandy and I quit our former careers altogether. We studied to become certified SuperSlow Instructors, and we opened our own SuperSlow Zone so we can share this remarkable workout with others.

It was my sister’s high praise and success with SuperSlow that convinced me to look into the program for help with chronic back pain. I was pretty hesitant since I’ve never been to a gym at the age of 53. But just one month into the program, my back pain was completely gone! That was a big deal for me.
My closest friends and family are aghast that I’m able to do this because I’m a lifetime non-exerciser! Now I am training to do a 60-mile breast cancer walk with my sister this summer, which I NEVER would have considered before. The icing on the cake for me is the convenience. It suits my busy life and I never sweat so I don’t have to change my clothes or take a shower.
I’ve been doing SuperSlow for seven months, and now I can easily pick things up I used to struggle with on a daily basis at work and in my daily life. I also sleep a lot better and have more energy, not to mention the comments I’m getting about my physical appearance and new muscle definition. I can get used to that!

The way I feel is amazing - I never thought it was possible for me to feel this good and healthy. When I started 8 months ago I was in chronic pain. Today I’m a new person without pain.

SuperSlow Zone has allowed me to incorporate a “fitness schedule” with my busy schedule. The greatest challenge of a new business owner is taking care of business and doing all of it. Somehow we forget to take better care of ourselves. SuperSlow Zone has changed how I feel, stregthened my weak back muscles and helped tone my body. It is a work in progress but this program is a winner! The individual training, quality of the workout and great location has put SuperSlow Zone on my calendar! The trainers are phenominal and care about your progress! They make your workout fun, but productive.

I am 75 years old and have fairly severe arthritis of my knees and lower back. With the help I’ve received at SuperSlow Zone I have improved flexibility
of my legs, knees and back. Also I’ve noticed a decrease in the pain I was having in my knees and back. I also have a much better mental attitude since I started my exercise program. I would highly recommend this program and facility.

As much as I hate to exercise, I knew that I had to do something to keep my weight under control. I was also having back pains every time I lifted my children. For the past 2 months, I have gone to Super Slow Zone twice a week for only 20 minutes each session. Now, I can already see the results….a lighter, more toned body, and a stronger back.
I had NEVER EVER lifted weights before, and I have already doubled my weightlifting load for my arms and my legs. Now, I can proudly go around flexing my muscles for my husband and lifting my kids in the air, sort of like Supermom!
With Super Slow Zone, you make up set appointments each week that you pay for and are expected to keep. This has kept me on track. I show up each week, on time, to meet with Michelle (my wonderful trainer), and she does not let me get distracted and quit.
It’s actually funny how paying money for something makes you really want to make it work. Now, that I am paying for Super Slow Zone, I have FINALLY taken the initiative to walk around the block a few times a week and try to eat smaller (somewhat healthier) portions of food at mealtimes. I am determined to make this all worth it!
As much as I want to be healthy and fit, I have had NO success with gym memberships. I would always pay the initial fees, but I would NOT make time to actually go, and I had no idea what to do with the weights and equipment. At Super Slow Zone, I am set up for a specific routine and a scheduled appointment with a wonderful trainer who is expecting me to show up and work hard. This works for me because I cannot slack off!
I am proud of myself and my progress since starting Super Slow Zone - this is a program so simple and non-time-consuming that EVEN I can stick to it!

I have seen a major difference in my wife Lanee’s attitude. She has NEVER wanted to exercise, but Super Slow Zone was a great, easy way to get her started. The short, 20-minute sessions really helped motivate her. The program has shaped her body, and she looks great!

I was laid up the better part of last year as a result of three foot surgeries. My recovery started slowly because just about everything hurt when I tried to increase my level of activity - my back, my knees, my hip. My dream was to be able to walk through the grocery store without pain. After just a few weeks working this Michelle at the Super Slow Zone, I could feel myself getting stronger. Now, after three months, I’m able to power walk for nearly three miles without even feeling tired. I now look at travel brochures with the confidence that I’d be able to keep up.
I have arthritis and osteopenia, I hate to sweat, I find exercise tapes to be boring, I’ve wasted enough money on memberships at gyms I don’t go to, and I’m generally too tired to go anywhere after work. However, after nearly a year of inactivity due to three foot surgeries, I knew I had to do something if I were going to regain some strength. I was only 53 and walking like an old lady. After I looked into a Super Slow Zone that opened in my neighborhood, I knew I no longer had any excuse for failijng to act.
Strength training is recommended for arthritis and osteopenia, Michelle keeps the fans on in the work-out room, I can tolerate just about any exercise routine for three minutes, there is no membership fee, and I can stop on my way home from work - I’m in and out in about half an hour. After three months, I’m amazed at how much stronger and more flexible I am. I have greater range of motion in my arms, I’m not limping anymore, and I can power walk for nearly three miles without even feeling tired. Even my posture has improved as my back and abs are stronger. I hope to retire in the next year. If there isn’t a Super Slow Zone in the vicinity of where I decide to live, I may hvae to open one myself!
I would recommend Super Slow Zone for anyone who doesn’t have time to exercise, has aches and pains, doesn’t want to join another gym, or just wants to improve his/her quality of life. The instruction is one-on-one, the workout focused, the regimen safe, and the results amazing!

My name is Tammy and I started seeing Michelle at Super Slow Zone in February, 2006. I have had problems with muscle spasms and cramping in my leg since I had hip replacement surgery in January 2003, when I was 41 years old. Traditional physical muscle spasms and the workouts have helped me feel much better in my overall health. I am especially grateful to Michelle and all her help. As a registered nurse, the Super Slow method made total sense to me. It is extremely beneficial for the health challenged and those that don’t like the gym atmosphere or need more than what physical therapy had to offer.
Thanks, Michelle!

I have been training with Michelle at Super Slow Zone twice a week since August, 2006. In this relatively short time, my body shape, strength and energy have all improved much more than I ever thought possible. In fact, now as a grandmother, I am in better shape and have a lot more stamina than I did 15 years ago. Not bad, coming from a person who has never been very athletic!
I simply love the huge returns I am getting from these brief workouts that easily fit into my busy schedule, and I am not about to quit. Michelle is very encouraging and gently nudges me along on my road to fitness. I could never do this on my own, this much I know!
Thank you, Michelle, you have changed not only the way I look but also helped me to really improve my self-confidence and mental outlook, and this is every bit as important to me as the physical effect of this training!

As someone who has participated in a wide variety of sports, including golf, baseball, softball, water skiing, volleyball, racquetball, squash, handball, football, collegiate hockey, weight lifting, etc, I am no stranger to exercise and 2 hour sessions in the gym.
A couple of years ago, complications from an old knee injury forced me to give up most sporting activities and forced me to visit an orthopedic doctor for multiple injections to help ease the pain. The prognosis for me was to tolerate the pain for as long as possible, then get a partial knee replacement.
When I received information regarding the Super Slow Zone, I was very skeptical. How could 20 minutes of exercise begin to compare with 2 hours in the gym??? How could one set of 2 minutes possibly compare with 4 or 5 sets for each exercise???
I have been doing two sessions a week since the Super Slow Zone of Northville opened in January 2006, missing only two sessions while on a week’s vaction at Easter. The sessions/workouts are incredible. Every muscle in my body feels like it’s been pushed to the limit each and every session. I am here to tell you that my knee is feeling way better than it has in the last 2-3 years, I am a lot stronger than I have been in a long time, I have lost 22 lbs, and I am back to walking/playing 18 holes of golf. The Super Slow Zone protocol has helped me come a long way and I know it will keep me on track to reach my personal goals.

I starting working with Super Slow Zone about 2 months ago. I would periodically work out at the gym, but never really knew what to do. I was never motivated to go and needed a set schedule to go by. I noticed my energy level was down, I wasn’t seeing the toning I had wanted, and I needed a change.
In 2 months I have lost weight, have much more energy, and actually enjoy working out. The pain I used to feel when stretching is gone. I’m starting to see more muscle tone..which is my main goal.
