Our contestant's end results are not just good, they are phenomenal!! Biggest Loser Challenge – Who Will Shed The Most Pounds, Inches And Body Fat? On January 14th, 2010 we announced to our staff and clients our Biggest Loser Challenge. We held a contest for who would 'shed the most pounds, inches and body fat' over 12 weeks. All contestants did SuperSlow® personal strength training. The contestants had an option to 'do their eating plan' or participate in our healthy eating program called Transition Lifestyle System. To get our contest started, we held a GET GOALS PARTY in which we "weighed in" and 25 of the people who came in that night signed up for the competition and contributed $25 to the winning pot. That means $625 for the Biggest Loser. Not bad for a small fitness and lifestyle business!Better Results Than Biggest Loser TV Show I think that our contestants actually did better than the real contestants on the national BIGGEST LOSER TV show simply because of the efficiency and effectiveness of our program: SuperSlow® personal strength training combined with Transitions Lifestyle System. And by that I mean our clients are doing a 20 minute workout 2 times a week and eating an everyday healthy lifestyle plan! Compare that to 3-6 hours a day/7days a week of workouts and calorie counting every day- no thank you! Our plan is something you can stick to for life! Our clients don't lose weight/fat and then bounce and gain the weight back- they maintain their weight/fat loss and/or continue losing. That's the biggest difference. My bets were on Jodie Streeter at the time. She wanted it, and she wanted it BAD! Bad enough that she was willing to give up alcohol for an entire month, not her idea, but I challenged her to it and after lots of grunting and groaning I dragged an "okay" out of her along with a "but I'm not going to be happy about it." Now this might not sound like a lot to sacrifice, but Jodie is a guy's kind of girl. She is athletic, strong, determined, and every guy's friend, and that means lots of beer drinking!! But just being a friend to these boys is the issue, now she wants a boyfriend and that's what I believe is driving Jodie. She's competitive yet underneath it all she's sweet and sincere and beautiful, all the perfect qualities for a winner! I just pushed and pushed and she did not push back nearly as hard as I thought. But really what had inspired Jodie the most was bringing in Kelli Flagg. That and that she was determined to beat Nancy. Nancy Ballard too cried in the consult room but these were not the only tears we have seen from Nancy. Nancy cries through workouts, cries when she doesn't want to workout, and cries when she's jumping for joy because she LOVES her workouts! So to say the least Nancy is a crier and we've all come to love this about Nancy. For the last couple weeks we all thought Nancy was in the lead. She came in every week looking like someone took a shaver and scrapped off another couple inches. Nancy, who lost 30+ pounds in 12 weeks, was also caught encouraging all the others in the contest, "Keep going, this works better than anything, trust me I've tried them all!" Another one that had tried everything was Anne Adkins. 29 years old and at her wits end with her weight. She even went to the doctor and had tests run to see what was wrong with her metabolism. Nothing. She ran and she ran and she ran; maybe jogging would help. No, it didn't work. Finally, Anne asked big brother Ken what he was doing because he looked so great. He told her SuperSlow Zone®, adding "but it's probably too hard for you." So she came in on a secret mission. By the end of her first 6 weeks in Transitions Lifestyle program, she was down 14 lbs and 14 inches and she was ecstatic! So much so that she hinted to me that she was interested in looking for a job in the "health arena" "something LIKE this." So I offered her a job and 3 months later she is being awarded as a superior SuperSlow Zone® Instructor by her new clients. "I'm one of the few people that can say, I love my job" says Anne. And what a testimony she is as she is now down 26 lbs and 27 inches- and in a size 4 jean over a period of 6 months. She gets so many compliments it's sickening! And that leads me to Tara Kirkpatrick. Tara came in on January 1st and told me she had fallen so far off the wagon that she actually succumbed to her husband's request of brownies and ice cream for breakfast and, why not, it was his birthday!!! I really knew I had my hands full at that point. Tara has suffered from bad knees, bad back, back headaches, you name it! So the complaints…they are mostly written by Tara for Tara. And this goes to show that dedication and support is all it takes. She showed up twice a week for 12 weeks and did Transitions Lifestyle program with only a couple cheats and WOW! she is down 40+ inches in 12 weeks of our program (I had to recalculate 4 or 5 times because I couldn't believe it myself). She looks and feels like a whole new person. When asked what she was going to do with the money she won for being the contest winner, Tara said, "I don't know, I've never won anything but my husband is still without a job…" and one of the other contestants chimed in, "yeah, but you're gonna have to buy new clothes because your floating in the ones you're in." So however you look at it, it's a blessing in disguise. To say the least, we are VERY VERY proud owners of SuperSlow Zone®. Anne's Story: After turning 27 I began to gain weight, I was not sure what was happening if my metabolism was slowing or something more serious. I had several test run by a doctor to find out if anything was wrong, there wasn't. I was running 5 miles a day 5 days a week and couldn't lose an ounce. As a last resort I decided to try SuperSlow Zone®, I had seen the dramatic changes in my brother who had been coming to SuperSlow Zone® and decided it would be worth it to check it out. I began the workout program as well as the Transitions Lifestyle [healthy eating program] July 2010. By the end of my first six weeks I had lost over 14 pounds and 14 inches. I kept up my workouts which was twice per week and maintained my Transitions Lifestyle, I never gained any weight back but kept losing, at a slower pace yet still losing and not gaining. I was so impressed and excited about SuperSlow Zone® and what it did for me I approached the owner about working for her. I began my internship in November 2009 to become a Certified SuperSlow Zone® Level I Instructor. I just finished my certification this February 2010 and am one of the few people who can say that 'I Love My Job'!! I did another cycle of the Transitions Lifestyle program beginning in January 2010 as we did a 'Biggest Loser' contest at Super Slow Zone.
