Dale said, “I could never have done that before”…that is, before SuperSlow® strength training.
Dale Before
Dale had trouble walking up the stairs to her condo. Combine this with poor posture and backaches and the idea of sporting in the outdoors in Mexico seemed impossible.
How Did She Do It?
SuperSlow Zone® helped Dale get ready for her dream adventure to Mexico and she proudly credits SuperSlow Zone® for this. Dale say there was “absolutely no way” she could have had the muscle power to grip the cables or the stamina to hike and climb without SuperSlow Zone®. And, she adds, without “so much as a sore muscle.”
Dale’s story was recently featured in WQ Magazine, Spring ‘09 Quarterly Edition, Sarasota, FL.
“Dale states, “I built muscles where I didn’t know I had muscle. I have so much more strength in everything I do.” In eight months time, she has increased the weight she can lift by 80 pounds. She’s also reduced from a size 14 to a size 6. The workouts have made such a difference in her life that she says “I’ll be coming here when I am over 100!”
Besides the improvements in her body and her strength, time is a huge factor in why Dale feels SuperSlow® works better for her than any other exercise regimen.
Like most of us, Dale doesn’t have a lot of free time. The dramatic results only require one-to-two 20-minute workouts per week.
She doesn’t have to worry about warming up or cardio, it’s all inclusive. What makes this workout so fast is that muscles are working the entire time. As all three groups of muscle fibers are utilized to the point of fatigue, the development of lean muscle mass is stimulated. The use of the highest quality equipment available and the assistance of a Certified SuperSlow® Instructor ensure that every workout is a success.”
Whatever age you are, and whatever level of conditioning you may have, you gotta give it to Dale for
s- t- r- e- t- c-h- i- n- g and fulfilling her dream. Through SuperSlow®, her every day quality of living and her energy and health are vastly improved…not to mention a granny in a size 6! In the Welcome part of this month’s Ezine, I mentioned…
Live Happy, Healthy, Wealthy & Strong
So…our hat’s off to you, Dale, for reminding all of us to
Live Happy, Healthy, Wealthy & Strong.
My best to you,

Tom Lorren, Jr., 82 Years Young – Our Every Day SuperSlow Zone® Hero
– SECOND Total Knee Replacement & Back At SuperSlow® Within 10 Days –
Last week Tom Lorren, Physical Therapist, owner of 8 physical therapy businesses and two (2) SuperSlow Zones®, told me about his 82 years young father, also named Tom Lorren (Jr.):
- Second (yikes!) total knee replacement
- Has done SuperSlow® strength training for 5 years
- Doing SuperSlow® didn’t hurt, he just needed new knees for activities
- Back to doing SuperSlow® 10 days after of his surgery
Tom’s Wisdom – Stay Strong And Active
“I keep my strength up by working on it with SuperSlow® strength training. I stay very active. This is important to me. As you grow older you lose your strength if you don’t work at it. So I hold my strength up as much as possible for as long as possible.”
“The minute you start losing strength your life can start to come apart – it can deteriorate when you don’t keep your strength and keep active. Life can go down hill. People who don’t do this can think, ‘It is too much to exercise. I won’t bother or I can’t.’ This makes a person start to come apart.”
A Clear Message – Tom Takes Care Of Tom
I had the opportunity to chat with Tom. What a pleasure to talk to one of our ‘every day SuperSlow Zone® heroes’! He currently has rehab three times a week at his home and…
“I make sure I do all of the rehab myself on the days they don’t come…and of course I do SuperSlow® two times a week at the clinic. You can’t lie back in the bed and wait until they come back next time…no you do it.”
Tom is clear that he has great help with his rehab and with his Certified SuperSlow® Instructor. However, Tom is clearly driving the exercise and activity bus by working with his professional helpers, doing what he needs to do on his own and applying the focus and effort to get his healing, strength and functionality back to where it was, or better than, before the recent surgery. He knows it’s up to him.
“I can still lift 100lbs…I have the back, leg and arm strength to do this now…I just can’t walk with it yet…but I am looking forward to it!”
Tom The Slacker?….Naugh…
Ok…so Tom slacked off his SuperSlow Zone® work outs for ten days (just kidding…these were ten days ‘post total knee surgery…’) so how was his FIRST work out when he returned?
“I didn’t drop a beat…like I had never been away. I picked right back up at the weight level just before the surgery. No pain during my workout. My knees feel great just after the workout and, of course, I am still rehabbing them, which is to be expected. I am walking over ½ a mile with a walker, but that will be gone soon.”
The Surgeon Remarked, “He’s got terrifically dense bone…what a heck of a drilling we had to do!”
Tom and I talked about his bones – as it related to his recent knee surgery. SuperSlow® strength training can be the most effective method for keeping your bones strong and healthy. As you may or may not know, SuperSlow® was developed by our founder, Ken Hutchins, during a 3.2 million dollar Osteoporosis Study at the University of Florida Medical School in 1982.
Tom has been active all of his life and he knows adding SuperSlow® strength training helps to keep his bones strong. Men are just as at risk for Osteoporosis as women and you surely need strong bones and muscles to function and for your quality of life.
Start Today
“I want people to know that you can start today [SuperSlow®]…it has your rewards…the sooner you start the better it will be for you.”
As we completed our call, my ‘every day SuperSlow Zone® hero’ had these parting words…
“It’s all our choice – yes or no.”
[Is that beautiful or what....]
